A Harlequin Duck is a small party-coloured sea duck. The birds live on the slopes near mountain rivers. They build their nests in the thick bushes of alder forest. At the rivers they eat salmons fry and maggots in the litter-banks, at the sea they dive in the inshore water and eat shellfish and cancroids.
