457 1.00 30×42 The Order of St.Andrew (1698). This is the first and the highest Order of Russia. The Badge of the Order of St.Andrew consists of the blue enamelled "Andrew's Cross" - saltire with St.Andrew depicted on it. The Badge was worn on the broad light blue riband, which was worn on the right shoulder. On some special occasions the Badge was worn on the golden enamelled Collar of the Order.The Star of The Order of St.Andrew is of eight points, made initially of embroidered cloth. In the center of the Star rests a gold round medallion with a double-headed eagle displayed (a later substitute for the early St. Andrew's Cross). 458 1.50 30×42 The Order of St.Catherine (1714). The Order of Saint Catherine was found by Peter the Great shortly after his unsuccessful Prut Campaign of 1711. It was created to commemorate the deed of Catherine, Peter's wife, who took part in the campaign. The first person awarded with it was Catherine, wife of Peter the Great. There were no more appointments until Peter's death in 1725. The highest sign of the Order was a badge with a cross bearing the image of St.Catherine. The badge was worm on a riband which was originally white but later was changed to red edged silver. The badge was accompanied by a star of eight points encrusted with diamonds and bearing the motto "For love and the homeland". multicolor 1.50 0.30
459 2.00 30×42 The Order of St. Alexander Nevsky. The Order of St. Alexander Nevsky was planned by Peter the Great as an exclusively military merit award, but later it was awarded for civil achievements as well. The Order has got just one class.The Badge: Saint Alexander on horseback, edged in gold and centered on a red cross with gold double-headed eagles between the four limbs of the cross. The silver eight-point star of the Order bears the motto "For Labour and Homeland". The Order also has got special diamond encrusted insignia for the most outstanding achievements. 460 2.50 30×42 The Order of St.George (1769). The Order of St. George was instituted by Catherine II. The order was divided into four classes. The lowest 4th Class insignia consisted of an enameled gold cross which was worn in a buttonhole on a narrow black and orange ribbon (St.George's Ribbon). The 3rd class insignia, a cross on a ribbon, was worn on the neck. The 2nd class insignia, a larger cross worn on the neck and a four-pointed star worn on the chest. The highest, 1st class insignia was a cross worn on a wide ribbon over the right shoulder and a star worn on the chest. The Badge of the Order is a golden cross with widening limbs covered with white enamel. In the centre of the cross there is a medallion showing St George and the dragon on the rose (and later the red) background.The Order of St.George was the most honorary military award of the Russian Empire. multicolor 2.50 0.40
