489 7.00 26×37 The stamp and the margins of the sheet feature a line of Russian ships of 17-18cc with St.Andrew's flags on the sterns. The flag, bearing the blue diagonal cross of St.Andrew on the white background, is the official stern flag of the Russian Navy. From 1712 till 1917 St Andrew's Flag was common to all Russian military ships. In 1992 the flag was reintroduced as the official flag of the Navy of the Russian Federation. The ships pictured also bear banners and pennants of Peter the Great's era. The background features an outline world map with oceans which symbolizes the round the world trips of the Russian Navy. 7.00 2.50
