The Koryak Autonomous Region was formed on December 10, 1930. It occupies the northern part of Kamchatka peninsula, adjacent to it a part of the mainland and Karaginsky island as well. The region contains 4 administrative areas, 2 urban villages, 28 villages and there are no cities there. The administrative centre of the region is the urban village Palana. The stamp depicts Koryaksky volcano, a view of Palana village, a snow sheep, a helicopter, “Mengo” dancing company.

The republic includes 22 administrative territories, 5 cities, 19 urban villages and 1378 villages. The capital of the republic is Saransk. The stamp features the Moksha river, the Ogaryov State University, the Sanaksarsky monastery, S.D.Erzis monument, folk motives of the Mordovian national ornamental art.

The Taimyr (Dolgano-Nenetsky) Autonomous Region was formed on December 10, 1930. The region occupies the northern part of the Middle Siberian plateau, including Taimyr peninsula and Northern Land archipelago, the most northern in continental Asia with its extreme point being the Cape of Chelyuskin and in island Asia – the Arctic Cape is on Komsomolets island. The region contains 3 administrative territories, 1 city, 1 urban village. Its administrative centre is Dudinka. The stamp features Dikson seaport, cervine team, an inigene in national dress, reindeer-breeders’ station, polar explorer Begichev’s monument in Dikson, a mush-ox listed in the Red Book, a red crop brand goose which is a symbol of the region (it is depicted on the Taimyr Region arms).

The stamp features a base relief of Prince Mikhail of Tver, Afanasy Nikitin’s monument, a chapel in the source of the Volga River, “Blue Express” produced by Tver carriage-building plant, the St. Boris and St. Gleb monastery in Torzhok, the college and museum of gold embroidery in Torzhok.

Polar circle intersects the region. The region contains 8 areas, 3 towns, 15 urban villages and 15 rural councils. Anadyr is the region’s administrative centre. The stamp depicts Anadyr seaport, a statue of Nicholas Miracle-maker, a white bear, which is a traditional symbol of the region (it is depicted on the arms of the region), bone cutting art items, fishing boat, the Whale Alley (Seklyuk Bay).
