The Republic of Northern Osetia - Alania. The Republic is situated in the Grand Caucasus area. The capital city is Vladikavkas (founded in 1784). The stamp features a view of the Tseis Canyon with the Tseis Glacier, which is 9 km long (18 sq.km). The Glacier reaches down to 2150 m wherefrom the river of Tseidon starts. The Tseidon valley is one of the most beautiful in the Caucasus, boasting the stunning vistas of the Adai-Khoh and the Tsei mountains. The left part of the stamp features a monument to K.L.Khetagurov (1955, bronze, granite; by I.G.Gainutdinov).

The Republic of Bashkortostan is situated in the Southern Urals, its capital Ufa was founded in 1586. The stamp features a vista over the river of Big Inzer and the Southern Urals mountains. The Big Inzer is a mountain river, in its lower part the stream widens and calms down. In the upper left corner of the stamp there is a monument to Salavat Yulaev in Ufa (1967, cast iron and granite, by S.D.Tavasiev and I.G.Gainutdinov).

The Kirov Region is situated in the east of the European part of the Russian Federation. The city of Kirov (prior to 1781 known as Khlynov, then until 1934 as Vyatka) is the centre of the region. The stamp features a view of the river Vyatka, the right tributary of the river Kama which runs predominately through the wooden parts of the region. The river is 1248 km long, with a basin covering 130,000 sq km. The left part of the stamp features a Dymka toy against the background of Vyatka lace ornaments.

The Evenky Autonomous Area is situated in the Eastern Siberia in the Krasnoyarsk Region. The centre of the Area is a town of Tura (founded 1926). The stamp features a waterfall on a mountain river in the region. In the foreground there is an Evenk on a reindeer. Reindeer-breeding is an important part of the economy of the area, which boasts vast reindeer pastures in the north. The fishing and fur industries are also important elements of the area's economy.

The Stavropol Region is situated in the central part of the Stavropolsky eminence. The centre of the region is Stavropol (founded in 1777). The stamp features a series of views of the Caucasian Mineral Waters area, one of the most famous resorts of Russia. In the centre of the stamp there is the Lermontov waterfall on the Olkhovka river in Kislovodsk. In the left part of the stamp there is the building of the Major Narzan Baths in Kislovodsk (1903) In the right part of the stamp there is the "Eagle" monument on the Hot Mountain in Pyatigorsk (1903).
