Yu.B.Khariton (1904-1996) was a physicist, one of the USSR designers of nuclear weapons and nuclear engineering. Yu.B.Khariton and Ya.B.Zeldovich were the first to calculate the chain fission reaction. Yu.B.khariton was the author of the theoretical works on burning, detonation and explosion. The stamp features Yu.B.Khariton and the first USSR A-bomb created in the All-Russian Scientific Research Institute of Experimental Physics.
