The Republic of Ingushetia was founded on June 4, 1992. Its capital is the town of Magas. Ingushetia is one of the most picturesque North Caucasus republics. A narrow strip of land stretching from the north to the south, it encompasses a steppe, sylvan foothills, Alpine pastures and the Greater Caucasus Mountain Range with its permanent snow. Rich natural resources, and a large number of unique historical and architectural landmarks provide ample opportunities to develop ecological, extreme, cultural and other tourism.

Nowadays, Ingushetia is developing dynamically boasting considerable economic, intellectual and cultural potential. Major agricultural and construction projects are being implemented in the region, and a tourism cluster is being created.
