№ 1611. The 1000th anniversary of the unity of the Mordovian People with Peoples of the Russian State

 

 A thousand years ago, when Russia stood at the beginning of its nation-building, there were establishing traditions of mutual respect, friendship and support of ethnic groups, being part of its composition – the Turkic, Finno-Ugrian and Slavonic ones. The  Finno-Ugrain nations (to which the Mordovians also relate) together with the Slovenians took active part in building the Russian national identity, its protection and development.
