Svyatoslav Nikolaevich Rerikh (1904-1994), a painter. Since 1919 he studied at the Royal Academy of Science in London then at the Columbia University and the Harvard University in the USA. In 1923 he first visited India and in 1936 he resided there. Following the manner of his father later works he painted portraits, symbolic and genre pieces but landscapes prevailed. The stamp bears the self-portrait against the background of his painting “Two Alps” (1934).
