A postage stamp commemorates the 350th anniversary of the founding of Chita, which is known since 1653 as a settlement Ingodinskoye winter cabin. In 1690 Chita was a stockade populated by Cossaks and industrialists. Not far from there a bug has been built where many of Decembrists’ were exiled for hard labor. Today Chita is a largest industrial and cultural cenrte of Eastern Siberia. The stamp features the Church of Archangel Mikhail of the 17th century (the Church of Decembrists), the Department of the Transbaikalia Rail Road, the Shumovs Palace and the building of the Department of Federal Posts of the region of Chita.
