The stamp features a fragment of a football match, and logos of the Russian Football Union with the text : "The 100th Anniversary of Russian Football". In the upper right corner there is an outline of the fortress of Stt. Peter and Paul in St.Petersburg, where the first match between Russian teams took place on 25 October 1897. The match received a wide press coverage.
