Murmansk is a Russian port, which is located on the Eastern coast of the Kola Bay of the Barents sea, it is the largest city in the world located above the Arctic circle. The main industry are fishing and fish processing. Ship repairing, metal processing, geological exploration of mineral resources are also developed.
The postage stamp features the Coat of arms of the Murmansk, the monument "Waiting" on the background of panorama of the port and the Aurora.
