In 2008 the 50th anniversary of the helicopter sports, one of few kinds of sports based in our country is celebrated. The beginning of development of mass helicopter sports is considered as 1958 when the first all-Union competitions, devoted to 40th anniversary of VLKSM, have been hold in Kaluga.
