Money, including golden and silver coins, is known from time immemorial. Monetary circulation in Russia appeared in the 9th-10th cc. Coinage acquired mushroom growth in the 15th century, after the centralized State of Russia. The first Russian paper money was released in 1769, in the reign of Katherine II. The law about the operation of the Goznak plants was assed on July 6 1919.
