The Ostankino Palace is a unique architectural and artistic ensemble of the late 18th century. The oldest building in Ostankino is the church of St.Trinity (the late 17th century). The stamp features the Ostankino palace built by the serf architects of N.P.Sheremetev in the late 18th century. The stamp also features a sculpture "Apollo Belvedere".

The Gatchinsky palace-and-park ensemble is one of the outstanding models of palace-and-park building in Russia. It possesses unique individuality and complements the pearl ring of the suburban royal residences of St.Petersburg. The stamp features the Gatchinsky Palace. It used to be a hunting hall of Duke Orlov, a favourite of Yekaterina II, then it became a residence of Russian emperors Pavel I, Nikolay I, Alexander II and Alexander III. The stamp also features a statue of Pavel I.

The palace-and-park ensemble of Petergof was founded in the early 18th century on the shore of the Gulf of Finland. It is in a sense a memorial of the Russian victory in the Northern War. The palace, featured on the stamp, is a former grand residence of Peter the Great. The stamp also features one of the sculptures of the fountain - "Samson tearing the lion's jaws".
