On the stamp there is a text: "160th annyversary of Savings of Russia" and the lines from the emperor's decree: "...We hereby order to establish savings-banks...". There is also a facsimile of the emperor and the date of the establishment of the first savings-banks "12 Nov (30 Oct) 1841" on the stamp. On the right of the picture there is a five-rouble gold coin stamped out in 1841. In the background of the stamp there is the Winter Palace, the residence of Russian emperors.
