The portrait of Mikhail Ilyich Koshkin (1898-1940), a Soviet tank designer. In 1934 M.Koshkin became a designer, deputy head of a construction bureau. He became the chief constructor of a tank plant in 1937. He lead the construction of T-34 tank (later modified as T-34-85 in 1943), which was the best tank of WWII. In the left part of the stamp there is a T-34 on a pedestal, a monument to the glory of Russian arms. Tank designers at a drawing board. The stamp features designers' instruments and the text reads "M.I.Koshkin, 1898-1940".
